My son Connor was born with Arthrogryposis has been confined to a wheelchair since birth had clubfeet prone belly and other surgeries as a youth his scoliosis got progressively worse and eventually he had to have a full spinal fusion since the surgery he is in constant pain is there a direct reason for this correlating to the surgery or because it altered the way his body since he cannot longer sit in his wheelchair he gets severe leg and hip pain from sitting in his wheelchair orthopedic doctors just look at x-rays and say the hardware hasn’t moved less than a certain percent so they consider it look success anybody have similar situations and what can we do to alleviate pain

This is very good information about arthrogryposis. My daughter has it and we are involved with an online support group. I would request that better pictures be used to illustrate the condition. There are many new images that would show the contractors. For example, the little boy could be wearing shorts instead of underwear and posed in a more flattering way. Parents are extremely alarmed with these kinds of pictures when they research arthrogryposis the first time when their baby is born. It is very scary to see these pictures. i just think a more positive approach would make a big difference to the arthrogryposis community. If you google arthrogryposis, you will find many pictures, which perhaps would be more sensitive. Thank you for letting me comment.
